Christian currently serves as a Sheriff’s Lieutenant at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, stationed in Riverside County, California. With responsibilities encompassing oversight of operations at theBen Clark Training Academy within the Joint Operations Bureau, his focus lies on administration and planning. Prior to this role, he held the position of Commander (Sheriff’s Lieutenant) in Banning, California, managing the Coordinated Custody Management Unit within the Riverside Alternative Sentencing Program. Christian’s diverse experiences extend beyond local law enforcement to his service in the Criminal Investigations Division of the US Marine Corps Military Police. Here, he investigated criminal conduct and managed evidence facilities, showcasing his adaptability and dedication to duty. Christian has a bachelor’s degree in workforce education and development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and an associate’s degree in Administration of Justice from Irvine Valley. Marcus Cannon, LMFT, is Deputy Director of Forensics for Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health. His responsibilities include the Adult Detention and Juvenile Justice programs, the Riverside County Public Guardian’s Office, the Mental Health Collaborative Court programs (including CARE Act, Veterans Treatment Court, Mental Health Court, & Homeless Court),andtheHomelessHousing Opportunities, Partnership & Education (HHOPE) program. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has worked in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Seattle in both child and adult behavioral health programs in residential, outpatient, and forensic settings. He earned his bachelor’s degree in classical trombone performance from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He is committed to excellence in public service, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and improving systems to provide better healthcare and housing for vulnerable populations.
