Finance And Forecasting Division Workgroup Demonstrates Impacts Beyond the Numbers
One-page flyers that illustrate key pro cesses and services are helping the Fi nance and Forecasting Division (FFD) strengthen internal and public under standing of its work and impacts. The division started the Beyond the Numbers Workgroup in 2023 to trans late complex financial data into clear graphic summaries that show how FFD supports program integrity and individu als throughout Riverside County. For example, one flyer demonstrates how over-issuances of CalWORKs or Cal Fresh benefits are recovered to protect program integrity, while another under scores the team’s role in turning financial insight into strategies that improve client outcomes. Workgroup members include Medea Johnson, Samira Goldbad, Stephanie Diaz, Jerrod Hale, Joel Pelayo and LienTra Ho, with facilitation by Kim Nguyen, Yo bani Ortiz and Priya Kedharnath. “Our goal is to make the impact of fi nance visible,” said Chief Financial Offi cer Gergis Kirnalious. “These flyers show how data becomes action, connecting our work to the lives it touches and im proves.”
