New App Coming Next Fiscal Year Will Combat EBT Skimming Losses The Finance and Forecasting Division (FFD) will be deploying a new app in the coming fiscal year to address the rising incidents of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) skimming, a crime that cost county residents more than $3.1 million in stolen benefits during calendar year 2024 and millions more in losses statewide. and scamming cases. It was determined that an app would improve accuracy, re duce paperwork and expedite the deliv ery of replacement benefits to affected customers.
