Expanding Equity, Access and Opportunity to Vulnerable Adult Populations Adult Services Division
As part of the countywide Equity, Ac cess and Opportunity initiative, the Adult Services Division advanced several ef forts that expanded access to services and strengthened support for vulnerable adults. A major milestone was the rollout of enhancements to the Case Manage ment Information and Payrolling Sys tem (CMIPS), the statewide platform for managing IHSS case information and provider payments. The new CMIPS Ser vices Portal (CSP) and Electronic Ser vices Portal (ESP) introduced significant improvements—ESP expanded access for IHSS providers and recipients to sub mit timesheets, check payment status and more, while CSP delivered greater efficiency for staff through digital case
ers and participated in the “Enhancing County APS and Tribal Community Col laboration to Protect Tribal Elders and Vulnerable Adults” training, reinforcing essential connections with tribal com munities. ASD’s Equity, Access and Opportuni ty workgroup further supported the countywide initiative by sharing re sources and promoting inclusive work place practices through presentations to Regional Morale Committees. These efforts strengthened awareness, be longing and equitable access across the department, advancing the county’s broader commitment to fairness and opportunity for all individuals.
