Accurate CalFresh Processing Protects Food Support Riverside County residents benefited from faster, more accu rate CalFresh decisions as the Self-Sufficiency Division led the region in accurate application processing, reducing errors and strengthening access to food assistance for families and indi viduals. ACHIEVEMENTS Accuracy Leadership: Excellence in accurate CalFresh pro cessing, supported by focused training and corrective action initiatives.

Process Improvement Impact: Proactive quality reviews and compliance communication tools, including Compliance Check E-blasts, strengthened staff awareness and improved error-prevention practices across all districts. Collaboration and Support: Continued partnership with El igibility Supervisors, Quality Assurance, Error Prevention and Program Policy strengthened alignment and ensured timely, accurate case processing across programs. Commitment to Excellence: The division remained commit ted to building staff confidence, promoting accountability and supporting the county’s mission to deliver high-quality, cus tomer-focused services.

The Corrective Action Team continued to support this work by improving accuracy and consistency across CalFresh, Cal WORKs, Medi-Cal, Child Care and Welfare-to-Work programs. Through targeted analysis, training and collaboration, the team promoted accountability and equipped staff with the tools needed to deliver timely, reliable service. The division earned regional recognition in Fiscal Year 2024/25 for its leadership in accurate CalFresh processing. Focused training, monitoring and corrective action strategies reduced errors, while ongoing communication efforts increased staff awareness and reinforced best practices.
