Office of Systems Design and Support Drives Faster Service, Better Tools and Smarter Integration Across DPSS

The Office of Systems Design and Sup port (OSDS) delivered major operational gains in its first year, improving service speed, reducing manual workload and strengthening data quality across DPSS. By giving staff easier tools and more con nected systems, OSDS helped stream line processes and create better experi ences for customers and communities. OSDS operates as a centralized innova tion and support hub that quickly turns operational needs into practical technol ogy solutions. Using low-code platforms, robotic process automation and emerg ing AI tools, the team develops applica tions that simplify work and adapt as pro grams evolve. A central focus has been advancing Inte grated Services Delivery with DPSS and county partners. OSDS completed DPSS Connect and DPSS Flow, two initia

inventory management system for Har mony Haven built with Power Apps and Power Automate, automated reporting for Harmony Haven and progress on a new vehicle reservation system. OSDS is developing a staffing and onboarding platform to streamline workforce pro cesses and improve transparency. These efforts contribute to faster service delivery, more coordinated operations and better experiences for customers and staff alike. Looking ahead to Fiscal Year 2025/26, OSDS plans to expand AI enabled tools, including policy support applications, a call center assistant, and automated case assignment for Children’s Services. The team will continue building scal able, sustainable systems that advance DPSS’s mission and meet evolving com munity needs.
