High quality data is essential to support ing effective DPSS programs, services, and long term planning, especially for an agency serving nearly 1.2 million custom ers each year. Reliable, timely information helps DPSS and its partners understand community needs, support service inte gration, and ensure that customers re ceive the right services at the right time. Throughout the 2024/25 fiscal year, the Office of Research, Analysis and Data Services (RADS) delivered accurate and actionable insights that informed deci sion making for programs, leadership, and policymakers. These efforts enable DPSS to anticipate emerging challenges, measure progress, and highlight areas of success across the organization. RADS closed the fiscal year with a ma jor enhancement: the integration of the Data Analysis, Reporting, and Evaluation (DARE) team. This addition expands the department’s analytical capacity and brings specialized expertise to support reporting and evaluation for the Adult Services Division.

• 249 new data requests processed, including program evaluations, ad hoc analyses, and business intelligence dashboard development • 269 recurring reports delivered (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly), supporting Children’s Services, Self Sufficiency, Administrative Services, and Adult Services. • 30 contracted service providers evaluated in Children’s Services • Data provided to 27 school districts for direct certification of free or reduced price school lunches • Strengthened data sharing partnership supporting CalWORKs and Medi Cal recipients through collaboration with regional health plans, First 5 Riverside County, and Riverside County Office of Education.
