Facilities Planning Drives Strategic, Cost Effective Project Delivery Facilities Planning, led by Supervisors Ronald Creekbaum and Anthony Ed wards, plays a key role in keeping depart ment operations running smoothly by ensuring facilities projects are strategi cally planned, properly funded and deliv ered on time. The unit manages a continuous portfolio of projects ranging from build to suit con struction and infrastructure upgrades to office reconfigurations, lease renewals, tenant improvements, ADA compliance, signage, security enhancements, staff moves, workstation setups, building con solidations and decommissions. DPSS Facilities Planning is responsible for planning, budgeting and overseeing these projects from the earliest concept through post occupancy, ensuring each effort supports operational goals and meets compliance requirements. The planning team fills a tall order in a depart ment of about 4,800 employees, with lo cations across one of the geographically largest counties in the nation.

Teams That Deliver: Courier and Supply Services Connect to a Large County

Courier and Supply Services keep DPSS offices connected and equipped every day across a 7,300 square-mile county. The units operate under Facilities Materi als Management and are overseen by Fa cilities Support Supervisor Guy Morrison. Courier Services is led by Edward Wil liams III, Supervising Customer Service Representative, and Supply Services is led by Aaron Contreras, Supervising Cus tomer Service Representative. The Courier Center manages daily mail pickup and delivery across all district sites, handling interoffice and interde partmental mail, US mail, Warrants, EBT cards, bus passes, closed files and other secure items.

The Supply Unit delivers office supplies, paper, department forms, client appli cation packets and personal protective equipment such as masks and other safety items to every district office. Staff also pick up recyclables, closed files and surplus materials while managing inven tory, storage and replenishment to keep programs stocked and running smoothly.
