Safety and Security Team Strengthens Protection Across DPSS Facilities
The Facilities Safety and Security team delivers frontline protection for DPSS sites, ensuring buildings are secure, compliant and ready for emergencies. Led by Administrative Services Supervi sor Joseph Romley, the team supports all DPSS locations by managing safety risks, preparing staff and maintaining systems that safeguard employees and clients.

The team delivers in person and online training on building safety topics and maintains more than 440 disaster kits assigned to DPSS facilities. Facilities Support Services Delivers High Quality Care for DPSS Workspaces
Facilities Support Services anchors the department’s building operations with a strong focus on service, reliability and well maintained work environments. Led by Support Service Supervisors Justin Gess and Ricardo Mora, the team en sures DPSS facilities remain safe, func tional and supportive of staff and client needs. The unit provides core building services through routine inspections, gener al maintenance, locksmith work and a dependable 24/7 response capability. Its Maintenance and Support Services division includes the Facilities Support Center and a dedicated technician team. The Support Center serves as the cen tral contact point for all facility needs across DPSS, handling inquiries from simple fixes to urgent concerns. Staff
log, route and track all work requests and collaborate with the appropriate Facilities units to ensure issues are addressed effi ciently. Maintenance requests submitted through ServiceNow are completed by the technician team, which helps main tain comfortable, well functioning work spaces. The Warehouse and Special Projects team supports the department through hands on facility services that include mi nor staff moves, space shuffles, decom missioning work, furniture reconfigura tions, warranty repairs and event setups for internal and community functions. The team also manages warehouse op erations and oversees the inventory of facility assets, ensuring the department has the resources needed to support daily operations.
