This training is specifically designed for non-medical personnel. It will cover how to administer the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) in the field as well as how to score the MoCA with an explanation of what cognitive ability is being evaluated in each section of theMoCA. This workshopwill cover the common types of dementia as well as reversible causes of dementia. Some tips and strategies will be provided in building rapport, assessing cognitive abilities when someone refuses to participate in the MoCA, and putting it all together to paint the whole picture to ensure you know what next steps are needed based on findings.
