Hannah Peeples, BA Research Associate Scripps College

Hannah Peeples is a research assistant working with Dr. Stacey Wood. She graduated from Pomona College in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science. During her undergraduate studies, she focused on psychopathology and authored her senior thesis on the use of artificial intelligence in psychotherapy. Her current interests encompass

psychopathology, assessment, psychological statistics, and the impact of policy on psychological well-being. Additionally, she is increasingly fascinated by forensic neuropsychopathology and the legal system, as well as the interdisciplinary connections between neuropsychology and law. Working alongside Dr. Wood has enhanced her understanding of scams, vulnerability, and the legal processes available to help individuals seek justice after victimization.

Ernie Reguly, JD Attorney Riverside Legal Aid

Ernie Reguly joined Riverside Legal Aid in January 2020. He is an advocate for the creation of affordable housing in Riverside County and focuses on developing and implementing programs to assist underserved residents, regardless of residency status. This includes seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans seeking access to resources and services. Ernie

and his team were core partners in the United Lift Rental Assistance Program, which helped over 120,000 residents and distributed more than $300 million in assistance to those facing housing instability. He regularly collaborates with various agencies and organizations throughout Riverside County as a member of multiple multidisciplinary teams, including the Elder Abuse Forensic Center and the Homeless Focused MDT. Ernie began his legal career in 1997 as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles before transitioning to private practice, where he focused on real estate litigation. In 2010, he deployed as an Army Reservist to Guantanamo Bay, serving as the Military Commissions Attorney for the Joint Task Force. He remained on active duty until 2019, taking on multiple roles as an Army Judge Advocate. He retired after returning from Kandahar, where he served as the Command Judge Advocate. Prior to joining the JAG Corps, he spent 14 years as a member of an HC-130 Combat Rescue Aircrew.
