The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) provides vital services and assistance to protect and empower individuals and families across Riverside County. DPSS offers access to a wide range of benefits including food, cash, health care coverage and employment assistance through programs such as CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal and Welfare to Work. In addition, the department provides services to protect at-risk children and adults from abuse and neglect, foster and adoption services and access to in-home caregivers for older and vulnerable adults. DPSS was established in 1923 with two employees. Today, it comprises more than 4,000 social workers and support staff who coordinate with community partners to improve the health, safety, independence, and well-being of those we serve. Last year, DPSS served more than one million residents in Riverside County, the nation’s tenth most populous county with 2.5 million residents. The public can learn more about DPSS programs and services by visiting our department online at www.RivCoDPSS.org. The Riverside County Deputy District Attorney Association [RCDDAA] is the professional association for prosecutors employed by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and for Riverside County Counsel attorneys. RCDDAA ensures that the integrity of our frontline prosecutors is protected so that they can focus on their role as the primary guardians of justice in the courts. We strive to maintain a work environment that allows our members to devote their careers to seeking truth in criminal prosecution. As members of the Riverside County Deputy District Attorney Association, we stand proudly with one another to keep our community safe; to swiftly address the suffering of crime victims; and to relentlessly fight for justice. Our mission is simple: to seek truth and justice above all else.
