Mila Lilien, MAG, CCM Mental Health Specialist SCAN Independence at Home
Mila Lilien is currently the Supervisor of the T.E.C. program at Independence at Home. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine in English and Russian, and her Master’s of Gerontology from Cal State Dominguez Hills. She previously worked as a Lead Resident Service Coordinator in low income housing for 16 years, focused on helping seniors and disabled adults
remain independent and safe in their own homes. She earned her Certified Case Management License (CCM) in 2016 and has been a speaker at several national conferences focused on aging and working with seniors. She also earned her Mental Health First Aid Instructor credentials in December 2019, teaching classes within her organization, as well as in the community. In addition, Mila works in outreach efforts throughout California to spread the word on Independence at Home programs and services.
Lori Mars, JD, LLM Director National Center on Elder Abuse / Elder Abuse Guide for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Lori Mars, JD, LLM, is the Director of the National Center on Elder Abuse and the Elder Abuse Guide for Law Enforcement. She is an assistant professor of clinical family medicine in the Department of Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Ms. Mars’ scholarly interests lie at the intersection of law, aging, education, and elder abuse.
Judith Martinez, MPH, CHA Health Systems Director Alzheimer’s Association
Judith Martinez has over 18 years of experience in public health, dedicating her career to serving medically underserved populations. She began at the Riverside County Department of Public Health, developing and implementing nutrition programs. She then worked as a Program Manager for Molina Healthcare, building relationships with agencies in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Judith spent nearly nine years at the American Cancer Society, where she managed accounts to improve breast and colorectal cancer screening rates through evidence-based interventions. Later, as a Senior Program Manager at the Alzheimer’s Association, she established strategic goals for the Inland Empire and parts of Los Angeles County. Recently promoted to Health Systems Director for Southern California, Judith focuses on enhancing screening, diagnosis, and care planning within health systems. She holds a master’s degree in public health from Loma Linda University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from UC Riverside.
